In this class you will study the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: how they were made, what they meant to the people who built them, and how they have influenced the modern world. Field trips to architectural wonders on the UIUC campus will enrich our understanding of the past. Students taking the class from afar will have the opportunity to study monuments in their own location. Assessments include reflective writing and collaborative projects but no exams. Mix of synchronous and asynchronous meetings on Zoom. Students are required to log in and use Compass2g (compass2g.illinois.edu) in order to complete this course.
