Biography
Hello! I am Laurence Pavlik, a Classicist autochthonous to Illinois. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Classics at Augustana College, I came to UIUC to get my Masters. My long term goals are to get a PhD in Classics, and to research and teach about Roman Religion.
Research Interests
-Roman Religion, especially in regards to sacred spaces, nature, and early practices
-Etruscology, especially in regards to the language and religion
-Archeology, especially of Iron Age Italy and Mycenaean Greece
-Bronze Age Near-Eastern Religion
-Samnite culture and the Oscan language
