The Department of the Classics once again condemns the virulent anti-black racism that continues to plague our country and our world. We endorse the messages published by the Society for Classical Studies, AIA, and many others. We have taken steps to improve our own department's culture as it relates to race and ethnicity through curricular reform, pedagogical training, and research, and we renew our commitment to such efforts. To our black students, we wish to say that we see you and we love you.
