On a beautiful Illinois spring day, Classics Department graduate Teaching Assistants Eleonora Mylli and Panagiotis Sotiroudis took students in their discussion sections of the popular lecture course CLCV 115 (Greek and Roman Mythology) out of the classroom and to the Krannert Center’s outdoor amphitheatre for some active learning. After a brief introduction to Greek drama, students had the opportunity to experience and visualize what an ancient performance might have been like, not only from the spectators’ perspective but from the actors’ too, and they participated in a workshop in which they read excerpts from Greek tragedies and discussed them with their classmates.
